I'm Keith, and Think Fred is something I built from the heart. The organisation is named in memory of my dad, Fred — a man who had a quiet way of making people feel seen, valued, and believed in. That's exactly what I want Think Fred to be for every young person who comes through our doors.
I know what it feels like to be on the wrong side of things. Over twenty years ago, I found myself in the court system — and I know first-hand how quickly a young person's path can shift depending on who shows up for them, and who doesn't. That experience never left me. If anything, it shaped everything I've done since.
I've spent over a decade working with young people across youth justice, violence reduction, and social inclusion — and what I've learned is that the simplest things make the biggest difference. Showing up. Being consistent. Believing in someone when they don't yet believe in themselves.
Alongside Think Fred, I work in a management role in social inclusion, supporting some of the most vulnerable young people in our community. Everything I do, in both roles, comes back to the same thing — giving young people the time, space, and support they deserve.
Think Fred is my way of continuing what my dad started. I hope you'll be part of it.
Jack brings a wealth of experience working with young people across the full spectrum — from Youth Offending Teams through to early help — and understands better than most how the right support at the right time can change the course of a young person's life.
What sets Jack apart is that his experience hasn't made him cynical — it's made him more committed. He shares the same belief that sits at the heart of Think Fred: that every young person deserves someone in their corner, no matter what. That's exactly the kind of director this organisation needs, and exactly why he was asked to be part of it.
Gemma brings a formidable legal mind to the Think Fred board, with over 14 years of experience advising on technology and commercial law. A dual-qualified lawyer in both England and New York, Gemma founded her own legal consultancy, Oakmont Law, in 2021 after a career spanning private practice and senior consultancy roles with some of the UK's leading law firms.
I first met Gemma five years ago through football, and what struck me straight away was her passion and her work ethic — she is someone who gives everything to whatever she turns her hand to. That drive and commitment made her an obvious choice when it came to building the Think Fred board.
What Gemma offers goes beyond legal expertise. She is someone who takes the time to understand people and their individual needs — and finds real solutions. That approach fits naturally with everything Think Fred stands for.
Having a director of Gemma's calibre means the organisation is built on solid foundations, with the governance, legal, and commercial expertise to operate with confidence and integrity as we grow.tact us today
